1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of France Friend, a service operated as part of Business Game Changer, accessible at francefriend.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use France Friend.
2. What France Friend is (and isn't)
France Friend helps you understand French administrative letters — CAF, the Impôts, URSSAF, the Préfecture, CPAM, France Travail, and similar correspondence — by reading what you upload and explaining it in plain English, along with suggested next steps and deadlines.
France Friend is a comprehension and organisation tool. It is not a government service, is not affiliated with any French administration, and does not submit anything on your behalf unless you explicitly choose to send a document it has drafted for you.
3. Accounts and access
France Friend uses passwordless sign-in — we email you a one-time link instead of asking you to create or remember a password. You're responsible for keeping access to the email address you sign up with, since that's what controls your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Accounts are for individual use — one household or personal situation per account, not shared across unrelated users.
4. Plans, pricing, and billing
France Friend offers a free plan (3 letter analyses per calendar month) and paid plans (Pro, billed annually at €39, and a limited Founding Lifetime plan at €99 one-time). Payments are processed by Gumroad, a third-party payment provider — France Friend never sees or stores your card details directly.
Pro subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled beforehand through your Gumroad account. Founding Lifetime is a one-time payment with no recurring charge. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us if something isn't right.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't use France Friend to:
- Upload documents that aren't your own, without the owner's permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
- Use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others
- Resell or redistribute access to your account
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that misuse the service in ways that affect its availability or security for other users.
6. Your documents and content
You retain ownership of every letter, document, and piece of text you upload. By uploading a document, you grant France Friend the limited right to process it — via our AI providers — for the sole purpose of generating your analysis. We do not claim ownership of your documents, and we do not use them to train any AI model. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how your data is handled.
7. No professional advice
France Friend uses AI to interpret administrative letters, and AI-generated analysis can be wrong. For anything with a real legal, financial, or immigration consequence — a deadline, a figure, a residency status — always verify against the original letter and, where the stakes are high, consult a qualified professional (a lawyer, accountant, or accredited immigration advisor).
France Friend is a tool to help you understand your post faster. It is not a substitute for legal, tax, or immigration advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, France Friend and Business Game Changer are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed deadlines, penalties, or administrative consequences resulting from reliance on an AI-generated analysis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On deletion, your documents and account data are removed within a reasonable period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the site or by email. Continuing to use France Friend after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
